Our Local Policy

We have always tried to source the ingredients we use locally, and many of the farmers, Paul first met when he was doing cooking demonstrations at local farmer's markets. Most of our suppliers live and work within a 6 mile radius of Fressingfield and the pictures show our team on recent inspections!

Free Range Eggs

Supplied direct from Park Farm in Syleham - just 6 miles away. The chickens have 45 acres to roam freely during the day and you wouldn't be suprised to see their eggs on the shelves of your local M&S as well as on the menu at The Fox and Goose.

Lamb

Our lamb comes from the nearby village of Alburgh just 6 miles away. As you will see from the photos above Jimmy Denny takes better care of his lambs than he does himself!

Fish & Shellfish

Our fish merchant shops on the Lowestoft market daily buying amongst a huge variety of fish the finest line caught wild seabass. With his contacts around the UK he is also able to source the very best lobsters and 1st class king scallopes from Aberdeen. His personal service always enforces their freshness.

Vegetables & Fruit

All are grown very locally, and we would like to highlight the quality strawberries and raspberries from Caroline Day and the first class asparagus from Starston - which is well worth trying if on the menu. We also encourage an abundance of local customers to swap their own produce for the odd drink!

Wines

Our wine list hosts a wine for all tastes, whether you like a light dry white to a rich and heavyweight red. We also stock local wines - some of Fressingfield's and Wissett's finest. Another selection hosts five wines that are "altogether different".
